Defense at the Bedside: Navigating the Aggressive Patient Virtual Training (Webinar)
Wednesday, November 12, 2025 (10:00 AM - 11:30 AM) (EST)
Description
Presented by the Tampa Bay Health & Medical Preparedness Coalition, this free 90-minute virtual training addresses the growing risks health care professionals face in an increasingly unpredictable world. While innovation and technology have advanced rapidly, the dangers confronting frontline staff have intensified — making situational awareness and de-escalation skills more critical than ever.
Frontline Defense equips health care employees with practical strategies to stay one step ahead of unpredictable patients, family members, and other situational threats. Led by Greg Hott and Nadier Yacoub, who bring over 30 years of combined experience in EMS, health care, and self-defense, this session covers:
- Heightened situational awareness and threat identification
 - Exit strategy development
 - Verbal and safe physical de-escalation tactics

This course provides general awareness and best practices to help health care professionals mitigate potentially violent situations and better protect themselves, their colleagues, and their patients. It is open to health care workers of all types.
Register today through the Coalition’s website here and download the program flyer for more details.
