Help Shape HCAF’s 2026 State of Pay Report
Help Shape HCAF’s 2026 State of Pay Report
Recruiting and retaining qualified personnel remains one of the most significant challenges facing Florida’s home care providers. To help agencies compete for talent and make informed compensation decisions, the Home Care Association of Florida (HCAF) is conducting its annual Florida Home Care Salary & Benefits Survey.
For decades, HCAF has surveyed providers across the state to gather reliable information about wages, compensation practices, and fringe benefits. The survey findings are published each fall in HCAF’s State of Pay Report — the only report of its kind focused exclusively on Florida’s home care provider community.
The 2026 survey will collect compensation information for employees paid hourly, per visit, and on a PRN or per diem basis, as well as contracted 1099 clinicians.
Participation is open to all Florida-licensed home care providers, regardless of HCAF membership.
Why Your Participation Matters
Broad participation is essential to producing reliable findings that reflect Florida’s diverse home care market, including Medicare-certified, Medicaid, private pay, and licensed-only providers.
There are three important reasons to participate:
- Receive the final report for free. Every agency that completes the survey will receive the 2026 State of Pay Report at no cost. HCAF members who do not participate may purchase it for $250; the non-member price is $350.
- Improve the accuracy of the findings. Greater participation produces stronger, more representative results. Without enough completed surveys, the report cannot accurately reflect compensation and benefit practices across Florida.
- Support regional reporting. When participation is sufficient within a particular health care planning region, HCAF can produce region-specific findings in addition to the statewide report.
Important Instructions for Participants
HCAF will keep all agency-specific information strictly confidential. Only aggregated survey findings will be included in the report.
To support compliance with federal antitrust requirements, participants must report compensation and benefits data as of June 30, 2026. Please do not include information from after that date.
Two Excel versions of the survey are available:
- Medicare and Medicaid agencies
- Licensed-only/Private Care agencies
Participants should indicate how many state-licensed agencies their submission represents within each Florida health care planning region.
If your organization’s pay rates or benefits vary by region, please submit a separate survey for each region in which you operate. If the same rates and benefits apply across multiple agencies or regions, identify the number of agencies represented so HCAF can calculate weighted averages accurately.

After completing the survey, email the Excel file to Adara Sloane at asloane@homecarefla.org.
The submission deadline is Labor Day, Monday, September 7, 2026.
Agencies that participated last year should have already received a pre-filled survey in the 2026 format. If you participated but did not receive your pre-filled file, contact Adara Sloane at asloane@homecarefla.org.
Please share this opportunity with other Florida home care providers. The more agencies that participate, the more useful and representative the 2026 State of Pay Report will be for the entire provider community.
Advertising Opportunities Available
HCAF is also seeking advertisers for the 2026 State of Pay Report. Advertising provides an affordable opportunity to place your organization before home care providers using the survey findings to evaluate wages, benefits, recruitment strategies, and workforce investments.
HCAF member advertising rates are:
