Florida EVV Operations Series: Root Causes, Workflow Redesign, and Revenue Protection Series Part 2 of 3 (Webinar)

Thursday, April 23, 2026 (12:00 PM - 1:30 PM) (EDT)

Description

Part 2: Workflow Redesign + Exception Governance: Reducing Exceptions Without Killing Operations

EMany Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) problems are not technology failures—they are workflow failures. When exceptions become routine, agencies often rely on manual fixes that create compliance risk, delay billing, and strain operations. This session focuses on redesigning EVV workflows so exceptions become the rare exception rather than the daily norm.

Participants will learn how to build a practical, future-state EVV workflow with clear checkpoints, defined ownership, and realistic service-level expectations. The session will also introduce a structured approach to exception governance—establishing clear rules for when exceptions are appropriate, who can approve them, and what documentation is required. With a focus on operational efficiency, attendees will also explore strategies to reduce manual corrections by addressing the root causes in scheduling practices and caregiver behavior.

Designed for Florida home health leaders, operations teams, and compliance staff, this session will help agencies balance strong EVV compliance with efficient day-to-day operations across both fee-for-service and managed care environments.

Advanced Learning Objectives:
By the end of this program, participants will be able to:

  1. Build a future-state EVV workflow with defined checkpoints, owners, and SLAs
  2. Implement exception governance with clear approval rules and required documentation
  3. Reduce manual EVV edits by addressing upstream issues in scheduling and caregiver workflows
  4. Establish a minimum compliance standard that works across Florida FFS and MCO payment lanes
