Experience the Outcome and Assessment Information Set (OASIS) training in an immersive and engaging atmosphere based on the most current CMS guidance available. This workshop provides the nation's best education for learning and refining your OASIS coding knowledge with a focus on the new OASIS-E items and evolving guidance. This workshop is developed, continually updated, and presented by the OASIS Answers' Blueprint Team. The training is targeted to field clinicians, clinical supervisors, OASIS educators and reviewers/auditors, quality improvement staff, and those preparing for the COS-C exam.
Join the comprehensive and nationally acclaimed two-day Blueprint for OASIS Accuracy workshop and learn to confidently teach, audit and collect OASIS-E items accurately. Our instructors use their many years and varied home healthcare experiences to guide the attendees through relatable patient scenarios that illustrate and reinforce pertinent OASIS coding concepts. Through large and small group problem-solving discussions, attendees will apply coding instructions to more than 50 application scenarios, solidifying mastery of concepts and providing excellent preparation for the open-book COS-C Exam. Rather than provide opinions, assumptions, or unfounded interpretations, the Blueprint presenters will model reliance on CMS guidance documents and provide strategies to boost confidence and performance in utilizing practical strategies to achieve OASIS accuracy.

Linda Krulish, PT, MHS, COS-C
Linda Krulish is a physical therapist with a Masters in Health Sciences. She has worked in the home health industry since 1988 and is a nationally recognized expert on OASIS, the Hospice Item Set, and quality measurement and improvement. She also serves the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and its contractors, assisting in home health and hospice quality measures development, data set refinement, and maintenance and updating of Guidance Manuals and other key provider education resources for the Hospice Item Set and OASIS. She provides oversight and subject matter expertise to manage contracts for CMS' Home Health Quality Reporting Program, Hospice Quality Reporting Program, and the Home Health Value-Based Purchasing Technical Assistance Contract. She served as the President and a Founding Member of the OASIS Certificate and Competency Board (OCCB) and continues to oversee the COS-C Exam as Chair of the Exam Review Task Force. Megan Bernier, MSPT, COS-C
Megan Bernier is a physical therapist with a Masters in Physical Therapy. She has worked in the home health industry since 2010 as a field clinician, as well as in supervisory and administrative positions supporting home health quality improvement, regulatory compliance, clinical documentation, and operations. Megan currently supports OASIS Answers' post-acute care work with provider education, guidance manual work, and CMS Help Desks support that provides guidance on data collection of OASIS, the MDS, the IRF-PAI, and the LTCH CARE Data Set. She has a passion and appreciation for the critical need for OASIS accuracy and is a knowledgeable and passionate national OASIS educator. Megan holds the Certificate for OASIS Specialist-Clinical (COS-C) designation and serves as a Post-Acute Care Clinical Manager with OASIS Answers, Inc.
Attendees receive 6.5 continuing education units per day (13.0 total) for skilled nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech therapy. This program is approved for 12 HCS-O BMSC CEUs.

The Certificate for OASIS Specialist-Clinical (COS-C) Exam is a voluntary certificate examination for those interested in demonstrating and establishing their expertise and commitment to OASIS data accuracy. Administered the day following the Blueprint for OASIS Accuracy training, the scope of the COS-C exam is similar to the Blueprint workshop agenda, covering current CMS OASIS data collection rules and guidance related to OASIS time points, regulations, patient populations, and OASIS item-specific scoring.
